Question:
How can I find the best Keyword Marketing Phrase for my website?

Answer:
Think about the most general word to describe your online business.

For example, if you were a printing agency, then your general word would be "Print" or "Printing." If you sold different kinds of candles and soaps, you would want to search under "Candle" and "Soap" to find which item is the most popular on the internet to decided which keyword is best to use sell your website with.

Once you have decided on the correct keyword you must search for the best Keyword Marketing Phrase for your website. This can be done by using Overture’s Search Term Suggestion Tool. It will give you the most used Keyword Marketing Phrases that are associated with the specific keyword you asked them to search for.

You can access Overture's Search Engine's Suggestion Tool by going to:
www.WebpageKeywords.com

 Question:
How many times should I use my Keyword Marketing Phrase in my website?

Answer:
The "Number" of times you use your Keyword Marketing Phrase in your website has nothing to do with your web page's ranking. It is the "Percentage" of times you use your Keyword Marketing Phrase verses the number of other words you have on your web page.

There is no magic percentage number. If there was every web page would be using their Keyword Marketing Phrase the same number of times which would be a monopoly and have no value for the keywords you have on your web page.

I tell people to write their web page, sales presentation, or their article, the way they would naturally write it.  Go back the following day and reread what you wrote and find out where you can best use your Keyword Marketing Phrase within the general text of your web page.

Question:
How long should I make my web page's Title, Description, & Keywords Meta Tag?
Answer:
Different Search Engines will read different amounts of characters in your web page's Title Description and Keywords Meta Tag.

As for your "Title", the Search Engines will read between 60 and 150 characters. The average number of characters in your Title that are read by the Search Engines is 70.  I always tell everyone to write their Title using only 70 characters. Once you write your 70 character Title continue writing it until you fill up the remaining 80 characters for Search Engines that can read 150 characters in your Title.

When it comes to writing your web page's "Description" the Search Engines will read anywhere from 150 to 250 characters. That is why I recommend to people that they focus on writing a good compelling Description for their web page within the first 150 characters of their Description Tag and then continue writing a good compelling Description until you have used up the remaining 100 characters that some Search Engines will read.

Many of the Search Engines on the internet never read a web pages Keyword Meta Tag. As for the few Search Engines that still pay attention to your Keywords Meta Tag, the largest number of keywords they will read is 15 words.

Question:
How can I make my graphics count toward my Keyword Marketing Phrase?

Answer:
Keep in mind the Search Engines can not READ graphics like humans SEE graphics. That is why it is better to put the text below graphics; instead of making the name of the graphics actually be part of the picture.

However, if you insist on making the names of your graphics actually part of your picture, you can use the text for that graphic as the "Alt" text that appears on the screen whenever someone places their mouse over that image.  You can also name that image specifically by its actual names instead of a common phrase such as "Picture1".

Question:
How long does it take for my website to be listed in all of the Search Engines
?

Answer:
Each Search Engine has a different time frame for listing new websites in their database. It takes different amounts of time to have your website listed in different Search Engines. It also takes different amounts of time to be listed with them depending if you pay to be listed in their database or if you want  them to automatically find your website.

If you are paying to be listed in the Search Engines database then it can take anywhere from 48 hours to 7 days depending on which Search Engines you are paying to be listed with. If you submit your web page without paying to be automatically listed, it can take anywhere from 3 to 6 weeks.

Question:
How often do I need to submit my website to the Search Engines?

Answer:
There is no need to submit your website to the Search Engines more than one time. Once you are in their database of web pages, resubmitting your web page to the Search Engines again will not help rank your website higher.

The only time you need to resubmit your web page to the Search Engines is when you have edited your web page and changed your Title, Description, or general text you have on your web page.

Resubmitting is the only way to guarantee the Search Engines will notice the changes you made to your website the next time that their Search Engine Spider checks your web page for updates or changes it needs to take note of.

The best way to find out if you are listed in the Search Engines is to ask the Search Engines to search for ...... www.YourDomain.com ...... If they show your website in their list of results that means you are listed in their database and there is no need to resubmit your web page unless you have made changes to it and you want them to take note of those changes.

If the Search Engines do not suggest your website in their results, by asking them to search specifically for your own website Domain Name, that means you are not currently listed in their database and you need to resubmit  your web page.

Question:
Which Search Engines do I need to submit my website to?

Answer:
Often people think they need to submit their website to each Search Engine they want their website to be listed in. This is not the case!

The only places that you need to submit your website to are the human powered Directories such as such as Yahoo.com, DMOZ.com. The reason you need to submit your web page these Directories is unless you tell them that you have a website out there on the internet they will never know about you and will never list your website in their database.

It is not necessary to submit your website to the Search Engines is because the Search Engines have their very own Search Engine Spider that automatically crawls all around the web looking for new web pages to list in their database. That is why all of the Search Engines have thousands upon millions of more web pages in their Database than the Directories.

However, just because the Search Engines will eventually find your website on their own does not mean it is a bad idea to submit your website to them to insure they notice you do have a website on the internet. Any Search Engine Optimization Specialist will always resubmit their clients web page to the Search Engines whenever they update their clients web page.
